Whitening Smiles
Depending on the level of discoloration, we may recommend applying a
whitening gel in our office or that you wear a custom-fitted tray.
Only the tooth color is made lighter. The enamel is not changed.
Dentist-monitored and developed, at-home whitening methods using trays
developed from models of your teeth are custom fitted to your teeth.
Off-the-shelf whitening trays don't give you this snug fit so these and
other whitening products might not give you the results you desire. Of
course, avoiding substances like coffee, red wine, tea and tobacco will
keep your teeth white longer.
Whether you wear your trays at night or during the day, they fit so well
you might forget you even have them in. Our at-home methods can whiten
your smile significantly, giving you a beaming, confident smile. Some
off-the-shelf home bleaching methods can damage your gums and bleach
unevenly.

Closing Gaps-Repairing
Chips
Contouring with composite bonding resin is one of the most conservative,
versatile and affordable ways to restore a multitude of appearance and
decay concerns. In bonding we apply tooth-colored material to the surface
of the tooth, layer-by-layer in a way an artist applies paint to a canvas.
Bonding covers discolored areas of the tooth, repairs chips, breaks and
cracks, fills in gaps and can transform small or pointed teeth. A composite
resin restoration may be used when only a small amount of tooth structure
needs replacement. Composite resins are also used to protect exposed tooth
roots, which is commonly caused by a receding gum line.
Veneers and bonding can be interchangeable treatments, however, in some
situations veneers are suggested because they will last and stay whiter
longer.

Restoring Worn-Missing Teeth
Natural-looking crown and bridge restorations can replace a single tooth
or span a space where one or more teeth have been lost. They may be
used in combination with dental implants, crowns or inlays.
We replace the missing teeth with custom-crafted porcelain bridges, which
are anchored by crowns to existing healthy tooth structure. We place
a crown on a tooth where there is no longer sufficient tooth structure
left to place a filling or onlay. Crowns are extremely durable and you
care for them the same as natural teeth.
This solution gives many patients the long-term and esthetic results
they desire.

Porcelain Inlays
Before inlays, teeth that were cracked or eroded to the extent where
composite fillings could not be used would need a crown. Large decayed
areas, especially in back teeth where the most pressure is created,
need to be built up with a strong material. Composite resins don't
provide enough durability. Now, we can avoid going to the crown as
often using porcelain inlays. They can save more of the natural tooth.
Preparing a tooth for a crown usually requires some natural tooth removal.
While this removal is in itself relatively small, it is more than what
is needed for inlay creation. Inlays are custom formed around the 'rolling
surface' of the damaged areas of the tooth and strongly bonded in a seamless
fashion. A crown would need a more uniform surface.
Before you could only choose between a 'silver' filling and a metal-based
crown to restore a deteriorated tooth. Now, you have numerous exciting
options including inlays that can enhance health, beauty and long-term
durability.

Reshaping Gummy Smiles
Reshaping a gummy smile can give you the confident smile you've always
wanted. Gum or periodontal tissue can cover more of your smile than
is necessary to protect it. Gum tissue can make your teeth look short.
Esthetic gum tissue therapy can correct these smile concerns.
Contouring can also fill gaps in your gum line, which cause teeth to
look too long. It is also performed during other more complex smile cases
where dental implants and bridges are used or when trauma to the mouth
has occurred.
Furthermore, our comfort treatment options and sedation capabilities
mean you can be sure your treatment will be worry-free.

Tooth-colored Fillings
Bonded, composite-resin 'fillings' are not limited to new cavities. There
are numerous reasons why older 'fillings' may need replacing, and we
can use these healthy, more esthetic materials at that time. Composite
restorations are an alternative to metal/mercury fillings, which can
fill an otherwise bright smile with dark spots.
We can also intervene earlier and repair cavity damaged teeth. Composite
resin 'fillings' are bonded to the tooth, avoiding the need to remove
larger, non-decayed portions of the tooth. Metal fillings usually require
more healthy tooth removal. Conventional metal amalgam material can hide
decay and weaken the natural tooth. Over time, a crown may be needed
because the tooth is weaker and subsequently cracks.
